LOGLINE

A Bangladeshi-Canadian nurse's chance encounter with a stranger in a corner store sets off a chain of events that forces her to confront the darkness and uncertainty of life, the weight of the past and the haunting question of whether our lives are determined by fate or free will.

SYNOPSIS

Mira, a dedicated nurse, embarks on a journey that intertwines the threads of chance, connection, and self-discovery. After a grueling night shift, she finds herself in a corner store, where a serendipitous encounter with a charismatic stranger sets off a chain of events that will challenge her perceptions and ignite dormant emotions.

Undeterred, Mira continues her day, entering the isolated world of an elderly patient's home. Amidst the clutter and shadows, she meets Anup, a gruff and solitary man whose initial resistance gradually gives way to a begrudging acceptance of Mira's presence. Through their interactions, Mira discovers the complex layers of Anup's life, his longing for human connection, and the scars left by past disappointments.

At its core, Bound is a profound tale of a woman seeking closure from past demons. Though challenged by adversity, Mira reclaims her power and defines her own values on her terms. More than justice, it is about recovering one's humanity.
